Gulf International Bank (GIB) has strengthened its sustainability performance in S&P Global’s 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), achieving an above-industry-average result supported by strengths in governance and reporting and significant gains in sustainable finance and risk management. GIB’s overall score rose by nine points to 37 from the previous year, placing the Bank at approximately the 65th percentile among banking peers globally.

GIB also recorded an 18-point increase in its Sustainable Finance score and a 38-point improvement in Risk Management, demonstrating progress in areas central to responsible banking and long-term resilience.

S&P’s CSA is an industry-specific evaluation of a company’s sustainability performance. The ESG score is used globally by investors, banks, and rating agencies and is one of the most influential benchmarks in capital markets.

GIB remains focused on building on this progress through its financing activities and corporate practices, supporting clients in the transition to a more sustainable economy while maintaining high standards of governance and disclosure.
