JEDDAH— The Jeddah Mayoralty seized over 3,000 counterfeit clothing items and labels from makeshift workshops operating illegally in the southern Al-Qauzain neighborhood of the city. These workshops were being used for sewing, manufacturing, and counterfeiting trademarks.

The inspection raid was carried out as part of the mayoralty’s efforts to monitor illegal activities and enhance compliance.

Yasser Bakhsh, director general of Monitoring and Addressing Negative Phenomena at the mayoralty, said that field teams inspected three illegal sites producing counterfeit clothing. They seized ready-to-distribute quantities of counterfeit goods, along with five heat-sealed label printers, 15 sewing machines, five paper printing machines, over 200,000 labels for international brands, and raw and printed T-shirts ready for distribution.
