Jodel today announced the launch of its Trust Hub in Saudi Arabia, a new transparency and safety centre explaining how the platform handles user reports, moderation decisions, appeals and child-safety standards. The Trust Hub is launching in the Kingdom ahead of rollout to other markets worldwide.

Saudi Arabia is Jodel’s largest market in the GCC and one of its top three markets globally, with 6M+ users and more than 113 active communities organised around cities, towns, universities and neighbourhoods. Jodel’s hyperlocal structure enables location-based conversations where users exchange everyday advice, discuss local developments and support one another in their immediate communities, a modern digital gathering space for local discussion.

Alessio Avellan Borgmeyer, Founder of Jodel, said: “Saudi Arabia is one of Jodel’s most active markets globally, and users here have consistently asked for clearer visibility into how reporting and moderation work. Launching the Trust Hub in the Kingdom first is a direct response to setting out our rules, our processes and what people can expect when they flag content.”

The Trust Hub outlines how users can submit reports, what happens after a report is received, how decisions are reviewed, and how appeals can be raised where appropriate. It also sets out child-safety standards that apply across the platform. As a priority market, Jodel has introduced localised trust and safety resources for Saudi users as part of the launch.

Internal engagement data shows that around half of Saudi users actively contribute through posts, replies or chats, and the average user spends approximately 30 minutes per day engaging with local discussions.

To support this environment, the Trust Hub explains Jodel’s moderation framework, which combines community reporting, AI-supported detection systems and trained human moderation. According to Jodel’s latest transparency reporting, all flagged posts are reviewed at a median review time below 35 minutes, while emergency safety

reports submitted through official channels are reviewed within approximately 60 minutes. (Transparency reporting period: January 2025 – June 2025)

Richard Gregory, Chief Executive Officer of Jodel and Managing Director in Saudi Arabia, said: “The Trust Hub is designed to make our safety workflow easier to understand, from submitting a report to reviewing a decision and appealing it where appropriate. Publishing our timelines and processes is part of how we aim to support constructive local conversations at scale.”

By setting out clearer safety and governance information in one place, Jodel said its Trust Hub forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen transparency and responsible platform governance as the platform continues to grow across Saudi Arabia, the GCC and internationally.

    Notes to editors

    – Saudi Arabia: 6M+ users, 113+ active communities; largest GCC market; top-three globally (behind Germany and Finland).

    – Engagement (Saudi): ~50% contribute; ~30 minutes/day average usage (internal engagement data).

    – Moderation benchmarks (latest transparency reporting): all posts are reviewed with a median below 35 minutes; emergency ~60 minutes (official-channel submissions).

    – Definition (to include verbatim once confirmed): “6M+ users refers to [DEFINED USER METRIC] as of [DATE/REPORTING PERIOD].”
