The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the establishment of the Women in Industry Non-Profit Association to empower women and expand their participation in the Kingdom’s industrial sector, coinciding with the International Day of Women in Industry.
The announcement comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to empower non-profit organizations in the industry and mining sectors, recognizing their role in supporting the Kingdom’s economic and social development.
The association aims to strengthen women’s presence in the industrial sector by launching initiatives to develop their capabilities and prepare them for industrial professions, empowering female leadership talent, and enhancing coordination and communication with decision-makers to address challenges facing women in the sector.
The association will work to raise awareness of opportunities for women in the future of industry and conduct supportive studies and research to help create a diverse and inclusive environment that develops women’s potential and strengthens their participation. It will also build partnerships with local and international academic institutions to foster female talent, align university outcomes with labor market needs, and enhance the presence of Saudi women at local and international industrial events.
