H.E. Dr. Majid bin Ibrahim Alfayyadh, Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Group, opened the hospital’s new medical library facility on campus, expanding the annual access to trusted medical and scientific resources for nearly 15,000 clinicians and researchers.

The upgraded library is designed as a knowledge platform for clinical, academic and research teams, providing access to 15 major medical and scientific databases and hundreds of peer reviewed journals that support education, research and evidence based clinical practice across the hospital.

The library also provides automated digital services through a dedicated website and smart application, enabling users to access medical resources, manage bookings and requests, and use self service tools, with digital features supported by artificial intelligence to improve search, content discovery and access to relevant scientific literature.

Beyond its collections and digital services, the medical library strengthens the hospital’s academic and clinical environment by enabling medical and research teams to review the latest scientific evidence, follow developments in medical practice, and apply knowledge in education, training and clinical case discussions.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 12th globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers for 2026, and recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to Brand Finance 2025. It was also listed by Newsweek among the World’s Best Hospitals, World’s Best Smart Hospitals and World’s Best Specialized Hospitals for 2026.
