CAIRO — Saudi Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani chaired the 76th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo on Monday.

In his presidential speech, Al-Samaani stressed the importance of continuing to enhance judicial and legal cooperation among Arab countries and following up on the implementation of the council’s decisions in a manner that supports the effectiveness of its work and strengthens Arab judicial integration.

The meeting discussed progress in implementing resolutions adopted during the 41st session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers. Participants also reviewed steps taken to activate the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism and mechanisms for its implementation.

The executive bureau further reviewed several Arab draft laws, initiatives, and proposals submitted by member states to enhance judicial and legal cooperation, in addition to other agenda items.
