The Establishment said the product was not brought into the UAE through approved import channels.

It warned that using counterfeit medical products can be dangerous because they do not meet approved safety and quality standards. This could lead to harmful reactions, unexpected side effects or other health complications.

Healthcare providers, pharmacies and medical facilities have been urged to carefully check the authenticity of medical products before using or dispensing them.

Any information related to the sale, distribution or handling of the batch can be reported to the National Medical Products Vigilance Department.
