Advancing as one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious urban development projects through the integration of nature and technology, King Salman Park presents a model that combines quality of life with resource efficiency, makes sustainability an integral part of the visitor experience, and stands as a key pillar supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives.
Central to this approach is the district cooling plant, which cools water centrally and distributes it through an extensive network of pipes to buildings across the development. This system can replace hundreds of individual air-conditioning units with a single centralized solution, reducing the project’s carbon footprint and advancing its environmental goals. The result is high operational efficiency, lower energy consumption, reduced costs, and simplified maintenance.
The park operates through advanced operational systems and a unified management approach that enhances operational efficiency, integrates services, and optimizes energy use. Its high-efficiency cooling systems are designed to meet the demands of large-scale developments, supported by intelligent monitoring systems that use advanced controls to track performance, boost efficiency, and ensure sustainable operations.
Spanning an area of 17.2 square kilometers, the park offers an integrated system of cultural, artistic, entertainment, and sports facilities, in addition to commercial and residential developments. The project goes beyond the traditional concept of urban facilities by transforming daily visits and recreational activities into immersive experiences that promote well-being while reducing long-term environmental impact.
