RIYADH — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received separate phone calls from Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as well as his Kuwaiti and Bahraini counterparts, amid ongoing regional developments to discuss efforts to de-escalate tensions and safeguard freedom of maritime navigation.

During his calls with Qatar’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Kuwait’s Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, and Bahrain’s Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the ministers reviewed the latest regional developments and underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to reduce tensions and protect freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, helping mitigate the security and economic repercussions of the crisis.

The ministers also condemned attacks carried out by Iran and its affiliated terrorist militias in Iraq and Yemen, affirming their full solidarity in confronting any threats to the security and stability of the region.

They reiterated their rejection of all actions that undermine regional security and stability and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation to support regional security, preserve stability, and strengthen joint Gulf cooperation.
