The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque invited visitors to Makkah to visit an exhibition highlighting the services and care provided at the Grand Mosque, organized by the authority from August 16-20, 2026, as part of the summer activities at the Two Holy Mosques cultural and enrichment center.
The interactive experience showcases aspects of the work and services provided at the Grand Mosque and introduces visitors to developments across various fields of care for the Two Holy Mosques.
The exhibition is part of the authority’s efforts to enrich the experience of visitors to the Grand Mosque and enhance its cultural and knowledge-based aspects. It presents content combining knowledge with interactive experiences and highlights various stages in the development of services and work related to the Grand Mosque.
The display features a range of sections and informative panels, including a presentation on the development of the manufacture of the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba and the threads used in its weaving. It also highlights the tools used to wash the Holy Kaaba, the development of carpets at the Grand Mosque, and the significance of Zamzam water.
The exhibition also offers visitors a technological experience using virtual reality (VR) headsets, adding an interactive dimension to the displayed content and presenting information through modern methods that enhance engagement and bring visitors closer to details of several services and activities associated with the Grand Mosque.
Through these programs and cultural exhibitions, the authority seeks to employ educational resources and modern technologies to introduce the history of the Two Holy Mosques and the care they receive. These efforts also enrich visitors’ experiences with cultural and awareness content that reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
The exhibition welcomes visitors in the lobby of the Grand Mosque Library in Makkah during the evening as part of the summer activities presented by the Two Holy Mosques cultural and enrichment center.
