MAKKAH — A meeting of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah discussed plans and arrangements for the 2027 Hajj season, along with new projects and services planned to serve the pilgrims. Deputy Emir of Makkah and Deputy Chairman of the committee Prince Saud bin Mishaal chaired the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Prince Saud stressed the need to strengthen integration among relevant entities and continue developing performance indicators in line with the directives of the wise leadership. The deputy emir also emphasized the importance of ensuring the highest levels of preparedness for the next Hajj season, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
The meeting reviewed the current Umrah season and the services provided to Umrah pilgrims since their arrival in Saudi Arabia until their departure for their home countries. The committee reviewed the performance indicators of relevant entities and mechanisms for coordination among sectors involved in Hajj.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance coordination and direct communication among the entities to support operations and achieve the highest levels of readiness to serve pilgrims.
