RIYADH — The National Center for Inspection and Monitoring (NCIM) has received more than 11 million reports from citizens through its unified inspection and control platform.

The Center was established by a Cabinet decision in 2024 with the aim of coordinating inspection and control efforts among government agencies and developing plans and programs to improve inspection and control mechanisms and procedures that ensure transparency and integrity in oversight and inspection activities.

The Center’s Board of Directors is chaired by Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid Al-Hogail, and includes representatives from seven government agencies while Turki Al-Hogail serves as the CEO.

The NCIM works to reduce the burden of repeated inspection visits to private-sector establishments, raise compliance rates, and contribute to improving the business environment in the Kingdom. It also seeks to enhance the overall efficiency of inspection and control activities, in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve the efficiency of control work, ensure fair implementation, and raise the quality of services.

The Center enables government oversight bodies to achieve the highest operational level of oversight by enhancing inspection and audit practices, qualifying and licensing partner inspection companies, and raising performance levels across various sectors.

The NCIM has identified six key tasks to address the challenges facing the inspection and oversight system, as the national entity responsible for reviewing regulations and standards related to inspection and oversight.

    These tasks are:
1.Developing and enforcing national policies, regulations, standards, and models for inspection and oversight.
2.Governing inspection and oversight across sectors through coordination, standardization, and regulation.
3.Managing the unified national platform for inspection and oversight.
4.Qualifying and licensing inspection and oversight companies in the private sector and overseeing their interaction with government entities.
5.Managing a central platform for appeals according to standardized procedures.
6.Enhancing transparency in inspection and oversight operations by monitoring and improving performance through targeted solutions.
