NTT East launches service to support SMEs

Telecom and IT operator NTT East recently put the spotlight on a little-publicised element in growing access to AI by launching a service to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) surface their details in online searches.

NTT East noted AI is increasingly influential in online search results, meaning smaller companies may struggle to remain visible without help keeping their information up-to-date and consistent.

It is launching Omakase Net Marketing Support to address the issue. The platform centralises management and distribution of various information to help companies control their visibility across web and social media sites.

NTT East warned dispersed information makes it difficult for companies to judge how they are “perceived and evaluated”, which can hinder attempts to improve online discovery.

The operator is putting AI to use within the platform to scour online information for inaccuracies, and to collate reviews and ratings.

It kicked the service off on the 2nd November for a monthly fee of JPY2,750 ($17.42) per business, with contracts restricted to one for each address listed.

NTT East stated the platform can show companies how they are presented by consumer AI systems and compare themselves against competitors.
