RIYADH — Public Prosecutor Sheikh Khalid Al-Yousef met with a number of citizens and residents at the Public Prosecution headquarters on Thursday to review their requests and legal cases. During the meeting, Al-Yousef listened to beneficiaries’ concerns, reviewed submitted petitions and directed the relevant prosecution departments to expedite their examination and take the necessary legal measures to ensure the timely handling of cases in accordance with applicable regulations. RIYADH — The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) has referred a former certified public accountant and two commercial establishments to the Public Prosecution for providing accounting and auditing services without valid professional licenses. SOCPA said the former accountant, whose license had been revoked, was found to have issued an audit report on financial statements after losing his authorization to practice, an act that constitutes a criminal offense under the law. The visit included inspections of ongoing municipal and housing projects, the inauguration of completed developments, the laying of foundation stones for new projects and the handover of housing units to beneficiaries of developmental housing programs.
