WASHINGTON — A US fighter jet has been shot down by Iran, Axios reported Friday, citing Iranian media and a source familiar with the incident. If confirmed, it would mark the first time since the start of the war that a US aircraft has been downed by enemy fire. Iranian state media earlier released photos and videos allegedly showing debris from the crash site, including what appeared to be parts of the aircraft and an ejection seat.
