Novo Nordisk today announced the topline results from HIBISCUS, a pivotal phase 3 trial of once-daily oral etavopivat in adults and adolescents with sickle cell disease (SCD). The results showed that etavopivat successfully met both co-primary endpoints, demonstrating superior reduction in vaso-occlusive crises (VOCs) and superior improvement in haemoglobin (Hb) re-sponse compared to placebo. According to a representative for Anthropic, Google recently committed $10 billion to the AI company at a $350 billion valuation with up to $30 billion more contingent on performance targets.
