RIYADH — The Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has approved the registration of Foundaio, a once-daily oral medication to support long-term weight loss and weight maintenance in adults with obesity or overweight accompanied by at least one weight-related medical condition. The drug contains the active ingredient orforglipron and is intended to be used alongside a healthy diet and regular physical activity. According to the SFDA, Foundaio works by activating glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors, helping regulate appetite and blood sugar levels, reducing food intake and supporting sustained weight loss. King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered over 100,000 free medical services through its Specialized Hospital for Ophthalmology in Marib Governorate, Yemen, providing specialized eye care to patients in need. From August 2025 to July 2026, the hospital examined 42,167 beneficiaries, conducted pre-operative laboratory tests for 14,633 cases, diagnosed 8,491 cases using advanced medical devices, performed 5,322 surgeries covering a range of eye conditions, and distributed 32,012 prescription glasses, bringing total free services to 102,625. VIENNA — Seven OPEC+ countries agreed on Sunday to increase oil production by 188,000 barrels per day (bpd) in September. Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman decided during a virtual meeting to implement the production adjustment as part of the additional voluntary output reductions first announced in April 2023.
