Governor of Diriyah Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz visited the headquarters of Diriyah Company today to review its projects and inspect the progress of work at its construction sites across the governorate.
Upon his arrival, he was received by Head of the Local Real Estate Investment Division at the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Diriyah Company Board Secretary and Member Saad Alkroud, Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo, and a number of the company’s executives.
During the visit, Prince Rakan reviewed the Diriyah Project masterplan, one of the Kingdom’s most prominent major development projects, as its main components, implementation phases, and integrated cultural, entertainment, and residential destinations were presented to him, reflecting the objectives of developing Diriyah into a global destination for heritage, culture, and tourism.
He then began a field tour with Diriyah Arena, one of the plan’s landmark projects. Spanning 76,000 square meters and designed to accommodate around 20,000 seats, it is set to become a venue for hosting global events, with designs inspired by Najdi architecture.
Prince Rakan also inspected the site of the Apple Store at Diriyah Square, which represents a qualitative addition to the commercial landscape as part of efforts to attract global brands and reinforce Diriyah’s position as an integrated urban destination.
He was also briefed on the Media and Innovation District project, which is being developed over an area of 250,000 square meters and aims to attract media and creative institutions while providing an integrated environment that supports innovation and technology. The project includes commercial offices, a 325-room hotel, 450 residential units, and a vibrant retail area.
