The Ministry of Health continues to support innovative solutions through the Sandbox initiative to enhance health innovation and accelerate digital transformation, contributing to improved healthcare service quality in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030 to build a vibrant and healthy society.

The ministry noted that the initiative provides a flexible testing environment for innovators, startups, and developers to test digital health solutions in several fields, including digital health, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, biotechnology, and 3D printing. A supervisory committee evaluates the proposed solutions and provides technical and regulatory guidance to accelerate their development and improve their readiness for implementation. The ministry added that Sandbox has supported 342 innovative solutions and advanced 25 solutions to implementation following successful testing and performance validation in an appropriate pilot environment.

The ministry continues to boost its efforts to enable innovators to develop high-impact solutions that support the future of healthcare in the Kingdom and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional and global hub for health innovation and advanced medical technologies.
