In preparation for the 1447 AH Hajj season, the Ministry of Interior announced the following arrangements and measures aimed at maintaining the safety of pilgrims and ensuring that Hajj is performed with security and ease:

First, starting Monday, April 13, 2026 (Shawwal 25, 1447 AH), residents wishing to enter Makkah must obtain official permits from the competent authorities, and those without such permits will be denied entry. Exempted are holders of a residency permit issued in Makkah, those with a Hajj permit, and those with a work permit for the holy sites issued electronically through the Absher Individuals platform and the Muqeem portal, which are technically integrated with the Tasreeh platform.

Second, the final deadline for those arriving on Umrah visas to leave the Kingdom is Saturday, April 18, 2026 (Dhu Al-Qi’dah 1, 1447 AH).

Third, the issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk platform will be suspended for Saudi citizens, GCC nationals, residents inside the Kingdom, and holders of other visas, from Saturday, April 18, 2026 (Dhu Al-Qi’dah 1, 1447 AH), until Sunday, May 31, 2026 (Dhu Al-Hijjah 14, 1447 AH).

Fourth, holders of all visa types will not be allowed to enter or remain in the city of Makkah, except those holding a Hajj visa, starting Saturday, April 18, 2026 (Dhu Al-Qi’dah 1, 1447 AH).

The ministry stressed that violations of these instructions will subject offenders to the penalties prescribed by law.
