The Jamarat facility in Mina is one of the largest engineering and operational projects in the holy sites, designed as an integrated system to manage crowd movement and facilitate the stoning ritual while ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency during the Hajj season.

As part of preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season, Kidana Development Company continues maintenance and upgrade works at the facility under a comprehensive plan to enhance infrastructure efficiency and strengthen readiness to serve pilgrims.

The facility operates through an integrated system that includes 340 escalators and 682 surveillance cameras to ensure smooth movement and monitor crowd density, in addition to 228 golf carts to support the movement of pilgrims and staff within the site.

For safety, the facility is equipped with advanced fire protection systems, including 295 fire hydrants, 1,078 fire extinguishers, and more than 3,350 automatic sprinklers, enhancing response speed and overall safety levels.

The Jamarat facility remains a key development landmark in the holy sites, reflecting advanced engineering and operational integration that enables the safe and efficient management of millions of pilgrims, while underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to serving pilgrims and continuously developing Hajj infrastructure to the highest standards.
