The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, through the Holy Makkah Municipality, has continued its pest control and environmental sanitation operations in Makkah and the holy sites as part of its operational plans for the 1447 AH Hajj season. These ongoing field efforts aim to enhance public safety and maintain a healthy environment in areas frequently visited by pilgrims.

The ministry reported that field teams from the Holy Makkah Municipality conducted environmental treatment and control operations at over 46,000 sites throughout Makkah and the holy sites. This initiative is part of a continuous program designed to reduce pollution sources and improve environmental preparedness during the peak Hajj season.

These actions are part of an integrated municipal services system implemented by the ministry during the Hajj season. Recently, this has included sanitation operations, preparation of the holy sites, addressing field reports, monitoring service locations, and intensifying health inspections and environmental sanitation efforts. The ultimate goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for pilgrims.
