Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa delivered the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the Third International Summit of Religious Leaders, hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the presence of Sultan Nazrin Shah and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

In his address, Al-Issa underscored the responsibility of religious leaders in addressing issues affecting global peace and social harmony. He reviewed several key challenges and highlighted the pivotal role of youth in confronting them, particularly the risks associated with unrestricted exposure to modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence, without adequate intellectual and ethical safeguards.

He stressed the importance of empowering young people with the knowledge, values, and critical-thinking skills needed to navigate rapid technological advancements responsibly and effectively.

One of the summit’s central themes focused on youth empowerment and exploring practical approaches to addressing the growing challenges and risks associated with social media platforms and AI technologies.
