Quba Mosque in Madinah witnesses a massive influx of pilgrims and visitors of various nationalities, who gather to pray at the historic site before proceeding to Makkah to perform their Hajj rituals. As the first mosque established in Islam following the Prophet’s Hijrah (migration), the site holds profound religious and historical significance, and is currently imbued with faith and spirituality, supported by intensive guidance and organizational efforts designed to enable visitors to perform their prayers with absolute ease and safety.

Relevant authorities are working around the clock to provide comprehensive services inside and around the mosque to facilitate pilgrim movement and create an optimal worship environment.

To further protect worshippers and ensure a smooth flow of movement, the mosque’s surrounding courtyards have been equipped with expansive shading canopies and a sophisticated network of misting fans that effectively cool the air and shield pilgrims from direct sunlight.

Notably, this year’s Hajj season will directly benefit from the newly developed courtyards. These enhancements are a core component of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Project for the expansion of Quba Mosque and the development of its surrounding areas, which aims to significantly increase the mosque’s overall capacity and modernize its facilities, seamlessly accommodating the growing number of global visitors.
