Raghadan Forest Park in Al-Baha Region continues to attract visitors as one of the Kingdom’s leading tourist and natural destinations, thanks to its environmental appeal, mild climate, and captivating landscape, particularly with the launch of the Al-Baha summer season and the growing influx of tourists to the region.

The forest is located in the Sarawat Mountains west of Al-Baha city, overlooking the slopes of Tihama. Its dense vegetation blends with diverse terrain and sweeping panoramic views.

The forest is distinguished by its ancient juniper trees, which form part of the region’s environmental identity. Frequent mist also enhances its scenic beauty, attracting visitors and photography enthusiasts.

Over the past several years, the forest has undergone development and rehabilitation projects that have enhanced visitor services and improved the overall experience. It features green spaces, walking paths, seating areas, as well as service and recreational facilities, gardens, and open spaces that cater to a wide range of visitors.

Raghadan Forest occupies a prominent place on Al-Baha’s natural tourism map, welcoming visitors throughout the year, with a noticeable increase in visitor numbers during the summer due to its milder temperatures compared with many other regions of the Kingdom.

The forest also contributes to supporting the region’s tourism and economic activity by stimulating tourism- and leisure-related businesses and hosting seasonal events and programs that enrich the visitor experience while showcasing the region’s natural and cultural attractions.

Mayor of Al-Baha Region Dr. Ali Al-Sawat said that Raghadan Forest covers an area of more than 483,000 square meters, including over 384,000 square meters of green spaces. The site also features 1,230 parking spaces, including 42 designated for people with disabilities, 14 playground areas, and 122 restrooms distributed throughout the forest.

With the start of the summer season, the forest is preparing to launch new recreational projects and activities aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and offering more diverse options, alongside existing attractions that have become landmarks of the site, most notably the suspension bridge and zipline project.

The mayor said the new activities include light games, a 90D cinema, dynamic lighting installations, a mirror maze, electric and inflatable games, and an interactive laser experience, in addition to several recreational activities and adventures designed to diversify visitors’ options during the summer season.
