“Refad” Real Estate Investment and Development Company has revealed the development of a new (Grade A) dry logistics warehouse at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. This project is an addition to its logistics real estate portfolio and is part of its strategy to expand by developing modern, high-quality logistics facilities in strategic locations throughout the Kingdom.

Refad’s approach to the project goes beyond conventional storage by creating a real estate asset focused on increasing efficiency and operational flexibility to meet operators’ needs. The warehouse has a height of 18.8 meters at its highest point, and seven loading and unloading gates equipped with dock levellers. It includes reinforced industrial flooring, circular truck lanes, administrative and service facilities, and extensive security infrastructure.

The project is situated on around 18,500 square meters of land, featuring a warehouse area of over 12,000 square meters and 670 square meters dedicated to administrative functions. The development is expected to be completed in 2027.

Abdulhadi AlQahtani, Managing Director of “Refad” Real Estate Investment and Development Company, said: “This project reflects Refad’s goal of creating a diversified and specialized real estate portfolio while strengthening our presence in the logistic real estate sector, essential to Saudi Arabia’s economic future. We aim to develop premium properties in strategic locations that serve the economy and key industries, delivering sustainable value for our partners and operators. This initiative aligns with Refad’s strategic goals and supports Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives of economic diversification, private sector empowerment, and enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness and position as a global industrial and logistics hub.”

The warehouse design also considers the possibility of future adaptation for ambient-temperature storage, in line with usage requirements, and the electrical infrastructure and related technical systems are designed to be upgradeable accordingly. Refad’s model also extends to overseeing the management and maintenance of facilities and common areas, supporting the long-term preservation of the asset’s quality and operational efficiency.

Logistics centers improve supply chain efficiency by connecting storage, distribution, and handling activities with transport networks, ports, and industrial zones. This integration boosts the sector’s competitiveness and enhances the Kingdom’s appeal for investments in trade, industry, and services.

The project aligns with the ongoing expansion of the Kingdom’s industrial and logistics ecosystem, as the master plan aims to develop 59 logistics centers exceeding more than 100 million square meters by 2030.

“Refad” prioritizes logistics real estate solutions as a core part of its growth strategy, integrating real estate development, tenant-focused solutions, dry and refrigerated storage, and facilities management. This approach enhances the quality of logistics real estate offerings in the Saudi market, providing assets that better meet operators’ needs, adapt to their evolving requirements, and bolster the efficiency of supply chain and industrial activity over the long term.

Real Estate Investment and Development Company will participate in the “Saudi Warehousing and Logistics Expo” 2026, from 8 to 10 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. It will showcase its comprehensive real estate and logistics solutions, including “Refad Refrigerators” in the Eastern Province. The company aims to develop specialized, integrated real estate assets that enhance operational efficiency and support supply chains. This aligns with the rapid growth of Saudi Arabia’s logistics sector and with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
