Mohannad AlKalash, Vice President, Middle East, Türkiye, Africa and Pakistan (METAP) at Zoom Communications, Inc., and Ahmed Al-Anqari, CEO at Salam, signed a partnership agreement to deliver an AI-powered collaboration solution.

The strategic reseller agreement combines Salam’s local delivery capabilities with Zoom’s AI-first platform to support secure collaboration, customer engagement, and data sovereignty across the Kingdom.

Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam), a leading provider of telecommunications services and digital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, today signed a strategic reseller agreement with Zoom at LEAP 2026, where Salam is participating as a strategic sponsor under the theme, “Powering what’s next.” The partnership formalizes Salam as an authorized reseller of Zoom’s collaboration platform in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in bringing world-class, AI-powered communication solutions to businesses across the country.

Under the agreement, Salam will serve as the go-to-market and delivery arm for Zoom’s technology in the Kingdom, combining its extensive local market coverage and delivery capabilities with Zoom’s cutting-edge platform. Customers will gain access to a comprehensive suite of collaboration tools spanning video, voice, and meetings, all underpinned by Zoom’s advanced AI capabilities and locally hosted infrastructure, ensuring data residency and enhanced cybersecurity within the Kingdom. This makes the offering particularly relevant for organizations in government and regulated sectors, where data sovereignty is a critical requirement.

Abdullah Khorami, Chief Business Officer at Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam) said:  “At Salam, we are committed to equipping businesses across Saudi Arabia with the tools they need to thrive. Our partnership with Zoom is a natural extension of that commitment, bringing together our deep market presence and delivery expertise with one of the world’s most trusted collaboration platforms. Through locally hosted, AI-powered solutions through a single, integrated experience, we are giving organizations in the Kingdom a powerful advantage, enabling them to work smarter, move faster, and achieve more.”

Mohannad AlKalash, Vice President, Middle East, Türkiye, Africa and Pakistan (METAP) at Zoom Communications, Inc., said: “Digital collaboration is evolving beyond meetings and it is becoming a critical platform for delivering intelligent, accessible and secure services. Through our partnership with Salam, we aim to bring Zoom’s AI-first platform—powered by Zoom AI and ZoomMate to some of Saudi Arabia’s most important sectors”.

“Together, we will enable high-impact use cases including AI-powered contact centers, virtual banking branches, digital healthcare consultations, remote government services, intelligent customer engagement and modern hybrid workplaces.”

The partnership addresses a significant and rapidly expanding opportunity. Globally, unified communications is projected to represent a US$229.4 billion market in 2026, while Contact Center as a Service is expected to reach approximately US$8 billion. In Saudi Arabia, the unified communications and cloud-based contact center markets are being accelerated by AI adoption, cloud transformation and Vision 2030.

By combining Salam’s trusted local presence, connectivity capabilities and extensive market reach with Zoom’s secure and intelligent communications and customer experience platform, we can help organizations innovate while addressing the Kingdom’s requirements for data sovereignty, privacy, security and regulatory compliance.

LEAP 2026 provides the ideal stage to demonstrate how Zoom and Salam can support the organizations building Saudi Arabia’s future transforming every interaction and delivering happiness together.”

Zoom’s deepening Saudi presence includes its alignment with the SAMA Cloud Computing Framework, the mandatory data residency, sovereignty, and security standards for regulated financial entities adopting cloud services in Saudi Arabia. Zoom’s recent launch of an AI data center in Saudi Arabia has strengthened its ability to provide regulated sectors with locally relevant, secure and compliant AI-first communications infrastructure.
