RIYADH — The National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment carried out more than 4,500 inspection visits across the Kingdom in June 2026, resulting in the detection of 104 suspected cases of commercial concealment.

The inspections were conducted based on intelligence indicators and suspicion reports related to potential violations of the Anti-Commercial Concealment Law.

The suspected cases have been referred to the relevant authorities for investigation and the application of legal penalties where violations are confirmed.

The inspection campaigns focused on verifying the compliance of commercial establishments and detecting offenses under the Anti-Commercial Concealment Law.

Targeted sectors included land freight transport, construction of non-residential buildings such as schools, hospitals and hotels, retail sales of household electrical and electronic appliances, retail trade in precious metals and gemstones, and general warehouses storing a variety of goods.

Under Saudi Arabia’s Anti-Commercial Concealment Law, violators may face up to five years in prison and fines of up to SR5 million.

The law also provides for the seizure and confiscation of illicit funds following final court rulings, in addition to supplementary penalties that include the closure of the business, liquidation of the commercial activity, cancellation of the commercial registration, a ban on conducting business activities, collection of applicable zakat, fees and taxes, public naming of offenders, and the deportation of non-Saudi violators with a permanent ban on returning to work in the Kingdom.
