The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority (SERA) has announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been selected to host the 24th Annual Conference of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) in Riyadh from February 1 to 3, 2027, under the theme “From Oversight to Foresight: The Proactive Regulator in the Electricity Transformation”.

The hosting comes to highlight SERA’s pioneering role in innovating proactive models for regulating the electricity sector globally, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to position the Kingdom as a premier destination for global forums and conferences.

The announcement was made during the 23rd Annual ERRA Conference, currently being held in Slovakia, in which SERA is participating as a member of the association.

The Kingdom’s delegation is headed by Vice Governor of Economic Affairs and Licensing at SERA Eng. Abdulrahman bin Saad Al-Mozan.

SERA presented its experience in developing regulatory frameworks and strengthening consumer protection through a working paper delivered by Vice Governor of Consumer Affairs Eng. Abdulilah bin Rawdan Al-Shaiee, during a panel session titled “Transforming Retail Supply and Customer Engagement”.
