The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority stressed continued commitment, in line with the leadership’s directives and under the supervision and follow-up of the Ministry of Energy, to providing reliable and safe electricity services during this year’s Hajj season.
The efforts contribute to the comfort and safety of pilgrims and reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring a comprehensive and seamless spiritual journey for pilgrims.
The authority stated that it has continued implementing inspection and oversight tours of electricity stations and facilities in the holy sites to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the facilities and ensure the implementation of maintenance programs for electrical-grid components.
These efforts help guarantee the safety and continuity of electricity services for pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season.
The authority added that field teams continuously monitor the performance of the electrical grid throughout the Hajj season by inspecting electricity service locations in the holy sites.
The teams also monitor the electricity service provider’s performance in terms of service quality and receive and address reports through an electronic model enabling inspection teams to record observations and cases directly in the field.
