    Saudi, Iraqi FMs stress preventing Iraq from being used to attack neighbors

    AMMAN — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on Wednesday stressed the importance of ensuring Iraq’s territory and capabilities are not used as a platform for aggression against neighboring countries.

    Meeting in Amman, the two ministers reviewed regional developments and reaffirmed the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. They also emphasized the importance of supporting efforts that strengthen Iraq’s interests and deepen its relations with Arab and Islamic countries.

    Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan holds talks with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi in Amman on Wednesday.

    Separately, Prince Faisal met with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem and its Holy Sites.

    During their meeting, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on regional developments, particularly the situation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and ongoing diplomatic efforts related to the conflict.
