The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has joined the Global Privacy Assembly (GPA), marking a significant step in the Kingdom’s commitment to international personal data protection standards.

This membership strengthens Saudi Arabia’s presence in global privacy forums and underscores its progress in implementing best practices for data security and individual privacy.

By joining the GPA, SDAIA will actively participate in shaping global trends and addressing challenges within the personal data protection landscape. This role aligns with the authority’s mandate to manage the national data portfolio and oversee the implementation of the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law, ensuring responsible data use while fostering international cooperation and expertise exchange.

This achievement, coinciding with the Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026, further solidifies the Kingdom’s global position in data and AI regulation. It serves as an extension of the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, creating a robust regulatory environment that supports technological innovation while safeguarding individual rights.
