Ghobash Group has appointed Marc Veelenturf as Managing Director of CNS Middle East in addition to the Group’s broader technology cluster.

The appointment underscores Ghobash Group’s commitment to commercial excellence and its ongoing strategy to expand and innovate across its portfolio, with continued investment in digital technology and artificial intelligence. Marc’s leadership will be central to shaping the Group’s direction, and reflects its focus on secure digital innovation, data and AI as catalysts for regional advancement.

Marc brings nearly 20 years of experience in the Middle East and more than 25 years of global leadership in technology and digital transformation. He joins from Atos, where he served as CEO for the Middle East & Türkiye and as Chief Growth Officer for International Markets, driving growth, building strategic partnerships and delivering value to clients.

Over the course of his career, Marc has held senior roles at Nokia, Ericsson, Amdocs, BT, PwC, Mitel and Philips, spanning software, hardware and services on a global scale. He has led large-scale transformation programmes and steered complex operations through demanding markets.

In his new role, Marc will oversee CNS Middle East alongside the Group’s broader technology cluster across the region, with a clear focus on enabling customers to realise measurable business outcomes through secure, effective innovation in application transformation, data and AI, and advanced cybersecurity solutions.

Rashid Ghobash, Managing Director of Ghobash Group, said: “Marc joins the Group at a pivotal point in our ambition to position the technology cluster as a regional industry leader. As a Group, our focus is on putting the strongest capabilities in front of our customers and earning their trust in how we deliver. Marc’s experience running complex technology organisations, and his commitment to customer success, will be central to this next chapter”.

Marc Veelenturf added: “It is a privilege to lead the Group’s technology cluster as Managing Director. The Group’s technology companies have robust capabilities, enduring customer relationships, and a talented team of experts. My focus will be on strengthening our partnerships and keeping our customers’ success at the heart of what we do, while fostering a dynamic and rewarding workplace for our people”.
