RIYADH — The Heritage Commission has concluded the second season of archaeological survey work in Al-Mahd governorate in the Madinah region. During the survey work, it has documented 1,774 archaeological discoveries across three survey areas, namely Al-Suwayriqiyah, Al-Muwayhiyah, and Hadhah. The survey recorded 156 new archaeological sites, yielding 461 Islamic inscriptions, 34 Thamudic inscriptions, 1,259 rock art panels, 11 stone structures, three historical palaces, two caravan routes, and four wells. THE HAGUE — The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, has been suspended with immediate effect following a probe into sexual misconduct allegations, the tribunal’s governing body said. In a statement on Monday, the Bureau of the Assembly of States Parties said it will refer Khan to disciplinary proceedings to the court’s 125 member states, which will vote on his fate in a special session. Siemens and Infineon Technologies recently entered into a collaboration to help protect electrical supplies in data centres, production facilities and battery storage systems. The pair are working to provide semiconductor breaker technology, which Siemens describes as providing protection for electronic devices, circuits and components in the event of a short-circuit or power surge.
