RIYADH — Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Thursday for an official visit.
Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal received Sharif at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Those who were present to receive him also include Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley; Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq; and other senior officials.
The visit of Sharif was in response to an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, according to Pakistan Television. Sharif will hold extensive talks with the Saudi Crown Prince. The high-level talks will focus on further strengthening Saudi -Pakistani bilateral relations and the latest regional developments. Sharif will also perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Information Minister Atta Tarar and other senior Pakistani officials are also accompanying the prime minister.
