The “Masam” project of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for clearing mines in Yemen removed 1,408 mines during the second week of April across various regions of the country, including 67 anti-tank mines, 10 anti-personnel mines, 1,329 unexploded ordnance, and two improvised explosive devices.  Masam teams cleared one item of unexploded ordnance in the Hays District of Al-Hodeidah Governorate. RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports has announced the commencement of receiving online applications for Makkah entry permits for resident workers during the 2026 Hajj season. Applications can be submitted via the Absher and Muqeem portals, and there is no need for in-person visits to passport offices in this respect. All arrangements are in place in this regard through technical integration with the Makkah Entry Permit service, the directorate revealed. MANAMA — Bahrain on Monday summoned the chargé d’affaires of the Iraqi Embassy over the continued drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory targeting the kingdom and other Gulf states. In a statement, Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the “continued malicious drone attacks,” according to Bahrain News Agency.
